The first games of the Small Bridge Federations took place in Monaco on 7-9 November, 2007.
On that occasion, teams from 14 nations (Albania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Estonia, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco 1, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia and San Marino) squared off in the beautiful premises of the Monte-Carlo Country Club. These teams were also joined by two additional guest teams in Corsica and Monaco 2.
We would hereby like to thank again the numerous small federations (that is federations who have less than 500 members) for travelling from all over Europe to attend these first games, hosted by the Monegasque Bridge Federation under the patronage of the EBL.
This first edition of the games well directed by referees P. Chalard and A. Ricciardi, took place in a very amicable atmosphere to which the hosting of several cocktail and dinner parties contributed
We trust that the general ambiance that surrounded these games more than made up for the long trips some participant teams had to undertake to be able to take part in them. We are also confident that future game editions will meet with ever-growing success.
